Dear Design is a product design studio in Bangalore working with startups and growing businesses. How much does a design studio in Bangalore charge?
Dear Design charges from ₹1,20,000 for an identity and website together, and from ₹75,000 a month on retainer. Across Bangalore, studio work generally lands between ₹60,000 and ₹2,50,000 depending on scope. We agree a fixed figure before starting, so nothing arrives at the end that you did not approve.
Is it worth paying a studio if AI can generate design?
Generative tools produce competent, average work very cheaply, which is precisely why average is no longer a differentiator. Dear Design uses the same tools to produce forty options in a day, then applies fifteen years of collective judgement to pick the one worth building. You are paying for the discrimination, not the rendering.
How long does a brand identity take?
A Dear Design identity takes three to four weeks: one week on positioning and direction, two on design, one on guidelines and handoff. A landing page runs about two weeks. Full product design engagements run six weeks or longer, with milestones fixed at kickoff.
Can you redesign our website without changing our brand?
es. Dear Design regularly rebuilds sites inside an existing identity, using your marks, palette and type as fixed constraints. We audit what already works, keep it, and concentrate on the places where the brand thins out — usually layout, hierarchy and mobile.
Do you work with clients outside Bangalore?
Yes. Dear Design is based in Bangalore and works remotely with clients across India, the US and Europe. Projects run over shared Figma files and a weekly call. Roughly half our work never involves meeting in person, and it changes nothing.
What should I have ready before the first call?
Very little. Dear Design's intro call runs twenty minutes and needs three things from you: what you are building, who it is for, and roughly what you can spend. No brief, no deck. If a budget range is genuinely unclear, say so and we will suggest one.
